The freedom on the water, the adrenaline in a race, my friends
Top 5 Favorite Albums:
I like all kinds of music
You're all time favorite movie?
Children of the wind
What's something that you get from sailing that you can't get from anything else?
Many new experience: many new friends all over the world with the same big hobby windsurfing in all does great spots everywhere in the world where there is water and wind.
Plans for the future:
To do the PWA slalom tour 2010 and start to do more Formula and Course racing and hopefully one day to show my skills on the Olympics
Additional Notes:
I did learn the basic steps of windsurfing at Sunny Beach, Bulgaria a few years ago. After I moved to Bonaire in the summer of 2006 I really fall in love with the windsurf sport.
You can find me almost every afternoon at Sorobon. One of the best spots in the world for windsurfing. Here I can train every day, whole year round in very good (wind) conditions, with some very good windsurfers like Olympic windsurfer and Champion Patoen Saragoza en Taty Frans (PWA rider).
Besides my normal work (teacher physical education at the SGB) I'm helping out at the Aquaspeed Club Bonaire. The local kids from the island can go windsurfing and practice their skills.
It's great to see how much fun the kids have and that makes me feel happy.
I started quite quick taking part in the slalom and formula competions here on the island Bonaire and now I do also take part in international event's as well, PWA and IFCA slalom events. With my final goal the Olympics as that is my biggest sport event you ever can go to, so to take part in the Olympics is my dream and hopefully one day it will be no dream anymore. Here my results: Event 2010: PWA event South Korea, Slalom May 2010 1st Curacao Challange, slalom april 2010 Events 2009 1st End of the year rave Bonaire, formula 13 December 2009 1st Lions Cup Sorobon Bonaire, slalom 22 November 2009 1st Heineken Regatta Curacao, formula 6-7-8 November 2009 (7th with men) 1st Intern.
