The Smack is an all-new HOT sail design that continues the legacy created by the RocSlide. Absolutely no monofilm is used in the construction. All panels are X-Ply with a PVC window.       Every inch of this sail has been reinforced to withstand the meanest conditions that Mother Nature throws our way. We used the same hi-tenacity weave luff material as on our SO model which provides unbelievable performance from both an RDM mast as well as a regular mast.

The Smack features a 5-batten layout construction, the draft is set slightly further back than SO for a looser classic wave sail feel. Engaging and releasing power when slashing cut backs on the wave is what this sail is all about. It is immediately recognizable that the Smacks leach line is different than anything that has been developed. Two vinyl patches, one between the 4th and 5th batten, the other between the 3rd and 4th batten, as well as housing the a leach stabilizing batten they also are responsible for loosening the leach providing a spring action function which results in precise leach twist even under the most powerful gust conditions.
