Hot News! 2003 Psyclone wins German SURF magazine freestyle test!

The lightest feeling Freestyle sail available, period! In 2001 the Psyclone emerged from the success of the world famous HOT Spider Slide sail model. The same innovative Kevlar® reinforced construction pioneered by Jeffrey Henderson on the Spider Slide is used in the construction of the Psyclone to provide 450 Kg of break strength to each individual monofilm panel. Yes this sail is used in the biggest Hookipa wave conditions but it is also the ultimate freestyle sail.
From Lago di Garda to the Gorge to Kanaha to the stormy lakes in Argentina the Psyclone is being driven by some of the world’s top freestyle innovators. The feather light ultra-neutral feel of the sail and ample power lifts each rider to new heights. Try a tack and magically the sail sits dead still right where it should be. Try a grubby and the Psyclone spins through the maneuver! For 2003 the Psyclone has been fitted with HOT’s RDM and regular mast sleeve technology.
This sail performs equally as well when using an RDM skinny type mast as when it is rigged with a regular mast. The batten above the boom is convertible from a full batten to a soft luff batten. The soft luff batten option was added for high-end riders that prefer an even looser, luffable sail that they can power and de-power with greater ease.
Also added for 2003 is an innovative leach stabilizing development. HOT has designed a PVC patch that houses a stabilizing minibatten. These patches provide the leach of the sail with remarkable spring and shock absorption delivering a quiet ride with added twist on impact landings customary in jumps and freestyle maneuvers - precise stability and sail balance. If you have a dream and that dream pushes the limits that supposedly exist…the Psyclone will help you free your mind and leave the on-lookers with their mouths sitting wide open. It’s all possible…the Psyclone is in if you are!
