Great vid, could you share with us the camera mount you used? Looks like some sort of extension to the front of the boom, did you make it or is it something that's available?

Hi outhaul - It's a custom design tongue - I made it from an old NPU boom where you can turn the tubing 90deg in the clamp to get it to turn "upwards" and as the tubing is mounted with clips, the tubing could be flipped 180deg. and you can easily take it apart as well (did that even make sense?)

Have since tweaked it a bit to get a better angle and to try to get the weight down (it's was almost 500grams...) - will try to post a pic

The big advantage is that it film what's going on on both tacks..... And when tacking and gybing it just passes over your head.

I have tried it in other conditions as well - it does not work as well in planing conditions as you get filmed too much from "above" (check my other clips to see what I mean) - and when laying in the water flipping the rig you need to be careful not to ram yourself in the head....

Next mount to get is the Flymount smile
