Topic: I need help in fixing webcam viewing problem

Internet gurus, I need your help.

There's a few webcams in Lahaina that cold help me have a feel of the wave size, before getting in the car... Here's one http://www.tiki.net/~rw/video/lahaina02.html and here's the other http://www.tiki.net/~rw/video/lahaina04.html
With IE 7 and Windows XP SP2 I get the message:
Axis Media Control
The AXIS Media Control, which enables you to view live image streams in Microsoft Internet Explorer, could not be registered on your computer.

I searched on the internet and that seems to be a common problem, even though I haven't found a solution that works.
I declared the website as trusted, I put the activex security level at the minimum level, of course I made sure I have the axis sw installed on my computer... even thought if I try to reinstall it, it fails.
With Firefox, I don't get the message, I just don't get the image.

Any idea? Does it work on your computer?

Hi there Italian Stallion with the pony "tail" wink

I had a quick look and no, it dosn't work for me either. Checked their FAQ and did what was said and still no luck. Using IE7 w. XP and SP2. Added their site to trusted sites.
It said something about IP address of the webcam, but I checked the HTML and couldn't find anything else other than relative links to the camera software which leads me to believe it should really only be needed to add the tiki-site to the list of trusted sites. But what do I know. I'm more into internet strategy than an internet tecchie wink

Browser supposed to load some custom control (Axis Media Control), but something is going wrong and that never happened. I would say - this is not your computer problem. Something set up wrong on server.

First link is working now (in IE6 and FF2.0 under Windows XP Pro). Second for some reason not.

Yes, it's working for me too. Maybe it was just down... the second says camera out of order on the left.
