Paul Monnington – Team UK
Having grown up around windsurfing in the late 70’s as my dad raced regionally and nationally, I then started racing Div II boards, when suddenly in the late 80’s shortboards, footstraps, and everything changed. Now some 25 years later I have a life built around windsurfing and I’m fortunate to be able to balance family, work and windsurfing.
Nothing beats living 30 minutes from some of Cornwall’s best wave sailing spots, and now having recovered from a broken foot I’m looking forward to riding some of the best waves the UK has to offer as well as competing in the BWA events.
Paul’s words about Hot Sails Maui:
I first started using SuperFreaks on my SUP in waves, and I was really impressed with the lightness of the sail in my hands and the neutral feel of the sail which could be used effectively when surfing the wave. I was even more delighted when I tried them powered up on wave boards.
I’ve now been able to have my own custom design SuperFreak produced which not only looks stunning but sails great as well.
