2008 Distributor's meeting

Tom, Ala and I have just wrapped up the first ever Hot Sails Maui distributor's meeting and we had a great time. Lots of new faces and now new friends were made during this nearly week long event in Morocco.
The setting was exotic to say the least. Set on the Atlantic coast near the old port city of Essaouira, the windsurf center of Sidi Kaouki presented a near perfect situation for distributors from around the world to join us for some education and fun.
This event was to educate our distributors about next seasons products and designs so they can prepare for 2009. Seminars were done in a real Berber tent right on the windy beach. The mid day times were for doing some testing of the coming gear.

Hey you all
I am so glade you discovered Sidi Kaouki. I really love this place I spent all my summer there when i was younger. You have to know that this place have a soul ! ! ! few years ago you have to imagine this beach with hundred and hundred of young euro people camping there in vans and tentes back to roots just there to live there passion for windsurf all summer long . unfortunately now it is over some poeple tried to make money with hostel and so on and baned camping . the result is that most of the people that used to go there stoped sailing and the people that goes there nowadays are few, older, richer and consume windsurf few days a year but i am not sure that it is the kind of poeple that will make our sport live and evoluate
Aloha ! ! ! ! hope to see you soon guys (have to check with my boss)
Vincent, your best intern ever for sure
don't work too hard you guys!!
G.P., it was all work and no play ;) Running in and out of meetings, no time for sailing, surfing, drinking beer or the odd party. Came back last night, I think I need a holiday SOON.
ohh boy, we had it tough overthere...
Thanx to all the Hot family! It was nice to meet everybody in person. Great conditions and hauling winds. found out that the 4.7 2009 Fire has no limits....
Jeff, thanx for that insane longboard session in the morning (the rockdance was worth it ;-))
Tough job indeed..
Great wind, great weather, good sailing and even better company.
Had lots a fun and learned a lot.
The early morning longboardsailing sess with Jeff was epic.
